Selected work

Senior Business Process Project Manager, MiniMed, 2026 to present

Built an internal PMP training program from nothing

Problem

The organization needed certified project managers but had no in-house path to get there.

Action

Stood up an internal learning management system and delivered PMP training through it.

Result

A 100% pass rate for the first cohort, and enough demand to fund a second round.

Senior Business Process Project Manager, MiniMed

Standardized how an organization schedules

Problem

Inconsistent Microsoft Project practices across functions meant schedules could not be compared or trusted.

Action

Led best-practice training on schedule structure, time modeling and schedule maturity, pitched to audiences with very different levels of project management experience.

Result

Shared schedule discipline across functions. Currently building a scalable cross-functional labeling workflow template to absorb rising request volume and support rebranding and relicensing work.

Director of Operations, TimberRidge Adventure Center, Johnson County Parks and Recreation, 2022 to 2026

Turned an underperforming facility into a thriving one

Problem

An adventure center underdelivering on both revenue and attendance.

Action

Redesigned scheduling, staffing and resource allocation. Built digital tracking tools and reporting dashboards. Hired, trained and coached a 20-person seasonal team.

Result

$90,000 in added annual revenue and 300% growth in camp enrollment.

How I work

Start with the people who have to use it.

A workflow nobody adopts is not a workflow. Design for the actual humans and their actual experience level.

Make the invisible visible.

Dashboards, trackers and work breakdown structures. If a team cannot see the work, they cannot manage it.

Teach, do not just document.

Adult learning, facilitation and coaching, so the knowledge survives after the project closes.

Standardize, then scale.

Templates and repeatable structures beat heroics every time.

Skills and tools

Leadership

A philosophy degree and a teaching master's is a strange way into project management. It is also exactly why the complicated stuff gets explained clearly.

The path here

Every one of these jobs was the same job: get a group of people through something complicated, safely and on schedule.

Outside of work

I run long, jump out of planes and spend a lot of time outside. All three are the same hobby, really. They reward people who plan carefully, respect the checklist and stay calm when the plan changes. That habit followed me into work, or maybe it went the other direction. I have stopped trying to figure out which.
